- Initial
- حـ
- Medial
- ـحـ
- Final
- ـح
Pronunciation
- How do you say it?
- An h from deep in the throat: squeeze the throat a little and breathe out hard without voice, as if fogging up glasses to clean them, but tighter.
- Sounds like
- No English equivalent. It is not a plain h (that is ha, ه) and not the Scottish 'ch' (that is kha, خ).
- Tip for parents
- If it comes out scratchy like 'ch', the tongue is too high. Haa is smooth and clean and comes only from the throat.
