Cookie policy
An explanation of how we use cookies to improve the learning experience on Hudhudo.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us recognize your device, remember your preferences, and offer tailored features that make browsing — and your child's experience on Hudhudo — smoother.
2. Essential (necessary) cookies
These cookies are necessary for the app and its core services to function. They let you log in securely to a parent or teacher account, keep your child's session active while moving between games or sections of the map, and keep payments and subscriptions secure. This type of cookie cannot be disabled.
3. Preference cookies
We use preference cookies to remember sound settings (music and sound effects in the games), the interface language, and children's favorite characters. That keeps the experience smooth and interactive, without everything having to be set up again each time.
4. Anonymous usage measurement (optional)
Only with your consent do we record aggregate counts of how the site is used: which pages are visited and which steps are completed (a signup started or finished, for example). This measurement is entirely first-party: the data goes to our own servers and is shared with no third party. It contains no name, no email address and nothing else that identifies your child — only a temporary random number that disappears when the tab is closed. If you choose "Necessary only", none of it is recorded. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site data in your browser, after which the notice appears again.
5. Managing and deleting cookies
You can manage cookies, or disable them entirely, through your web browser's settings. Please note that blocking or disabling cookies may disrupt some of Hudhudo's interactive features, and that your child's session or sound settings may then not be saved correctly.
