بَدْرٌ وَهُدْهُدٌ فِي الْمَلْعَب، وَهُنَا كُرَةٌ كَبِيرَة.
Badr and Hudhudo are on the field, and here's a big ball.

الْكُرَةُ فَوْق… فَوْق… وَفِي النَّهْر!
The ball goes up… up… and into the river!

الْكُرَةُ فِي النَّهْر، وَالنَّهْرُ كَبِير.
The ball is in the river, and the river is big.

هُنَاكَ بَطَّةٌ فِي النَّهْر. بَدْر: «يَا بَطَّة، الْكُرَة، مِنْ فَضْلِك!»
There's a duck in the river. Badr: "Duck, the ball, please!"

A tip for parents
Read the story twice with your child. The first time, just listen. The second time, stop at each picture and ask what they see. Then let your child read the last sentence along with you. Five minutes before bed is enough.
