سَلْمَى وَبَدْرٌ وَهُدْهُدٌ تَحْتَ غَيْمَةٍ كَبِيرَة.
Salma, Badr and Hudhudo are under a big cloud.

هُنَاكَ مَطَرٌ كَثِير!
There's lots of rain!

سَلْمَى مَعَهَا مِظَلَّة، وَبَدْرٌ… لَا.
Salma has an umbrella, and Badr… doesn't.

سَلْمَى: «تَعَالْ يَا بَدْر، تَحْتَ الْمِظَلَّة!»
Salma: "Come, Badr, under the umbrella!"

هُدْهُد: «وَأَنَا؟» سَلْمَى: «تَعَالْ يَا هُدْهُد، هُنَا، عَلَى يَدِي!»
Hudhudo: "And me?" Salma: "Come, Hudhudo, here, on my hand!"

A tip for parents
Read the story twice with your child. The first time, just listen. The second time, stop at each picture and ask what they see. Then let your child read the last sentence along with you. Five minutes before bed is enough.
